Since 1917, Globe Machine Manufacturing has designed and built industrial machinery, systems, and plants for customers in the advanced composites, building products, and pulp and paper industries.

Globe is seeking an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead its Controls Engineering team. Reporting directly to the President, this is a hands-on leadership role combining team management with direct controls engineering responsibility.

The successful candidate will lead and develop engineers and drafters while remaining actively involved in controls design, PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networking, motion control, project execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Project Management to take sophisticated industrial equipment from concept through successful operation at customer facilities.

Ideal Background

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* 5+ years of progressive Controls Engineering experience
* 5+ years leading engineering professionals and technical projects
* Strong PLC, HMI, industrial electrical design, networking, motion, and servo-control experience
* Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and resources
* Industrial machinery or manufacturing experience strongly preferred
* AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency
* Ability to travel approximately 30%, including internationally
