MCGINNIS CONSULTING
About the Role
Chief Operating Officer
Tahoma Global Logistics (TGL) provides diverse supply chain solutions leveraging the Puyallup Indian Tribe’s properties in and around the Port of Tacoma. TGL was built to create sustainable economic opportunity, meaningful employment, and long-term value for the Puyallup Tribe.
TGL is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to partner closely with the CEO and help lead the company through its next stage of growth.
This is a hands-on executive leadership role for someone who understands the full logistics and supply chain business—not just operations. The COO will translate strategy into execution, strengthen TGL’s operating model, develop leaders, improve processes and infrastructure, and ensure the organization can scale while maintaining its entrepreneurial and team-first culture.
Ideal Background
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or related field required
* 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related operating environment
* Broad understanding of transportation, warehousing and distribution, rail/intermodal, maritime or barge operations, project cargo, and related logistics services
* Strong financial and business acumen, including budgets, forecasts, profitability, ROI, and business-case development
* Proven success building scalable processes, systems, KPIs, and organizational infrastructure
* Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
* Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of how operations, customer relationships, revenue, and profitability work together
TGL is looking for a leader who can think strategically and execute practically—someone equally comfortable shaping the future of the business, developing people, analyzing performance, solving operational challenges, and rolling up their sleeves when needed.
This is an opportunity to help build a growing logistics organization with a purpose that extends well beyond moving freight.
